The Bandhas have always made such an impression on my practice, but truth be told it is very fun to say!! Try it a few times say Bandha, Bandha, Bandha really fast; now try to tell me you did not chuckle slightly. See, just by saying Bandha there is the ability to find a little peace within.
Many times in my videos you will hear me mention to engage your Bandhas, and sometimes I think they may be overlooked at the role they play in our practice.
Taking the time to understand all these interconnections, between breath (Prana), Chakras (Energy Centers), Bandhas (Body Locks) will strengthen our practice, and growth. The Bandhas are three main internal locking points within our
muscles - Mula Bandha, Uddiyana Bandha, Jaladhara Bandha, learning control within each will help better channel energy up and out through you body during practice. A well rounded practice will leave you feeling O'Mazingly refreshed, happy and healthy.
I stumbled open this article better explaining the Bandhas, give it a peek. - www.yogiapproved.com/yoga/bandhas-learn-technique-transform-yoga-practice/ . In my opinion this does a really great job breaking down these body locks, that will in turn help strengthen our practice.
